Heading out across the shimmering Australian seas on a beautiful boat is one of the finest ways to enjoy life, and no one knows that better than the team at Hunts Marine. In the 70 years or so that we've been in the recreational boating business, our team have ensured that countless customers leave our showrooms with a vessel to treasure for years to come. One of these satisfied customers is George Helou, who recently took receipt of a Quintrex 610 Cruiseabout.
The blade hull and flared bow dovetail wonderfully to allow the ultimate in cruising comfort.
The Quintrex 610 Cruiseabout is one of the biggest boats in its range, and it really is built for cruising - the blade hull and flared bow dovetail wonderfully to allow the ultimate in cruising comfort. A radio, fish finder and innovative rear folding lounge also come as standard, making this a boat to be admired. We caught up with George to ask him all about his new purchase.
Now that you've had a chance to test your new boat, how are you finding it?
George doesn't mince his words when it comes to praising the Quintrex 610 Cruiseabout, waxing lyrical about the boat.
"To tell you the truth, we are absolutely loving it! We often can't wait for the next nice day to go out on it. Me and my wife have had boats all our lives, and Quintrex is the best brand that we have ever bought."
George went on to mention that he and his wife had once sold a Quintrex a while back, replacing it with a different brand. The experience was not a positive one, as their new boat did not provide a comfortable ride over the ocean, rocking and lurching with every turn. Additionally, the cabin was somewhat claustrophobic, nearly putting George's wife off boats for good, until they returned to the Quintrex brand - and they've never looked back.
What's your favourite aspect about the Quintrex 610 Cruiseabout?
"I think that its stability is what really stands out to me. You can't beat it. I've been on so many other boats, and they don't have the stability of the Quintrex 610. For example, if you were to turn a corner sharply, the boat just sits nicely, and there's no rocking about - it doesn't sway at all.
George also mentions that the storage capacity of his boat is also worth noting, as it's possible to bring on board all manner of different items, without clogging up the deck or cabin.

Can you give us an overview of how you found the purchasing process at Hunts Marine?
At Hunts Marine, we like to make purchasing a new boat as easy as possible for our customers. Our experienced team will talk you through every last detail from start to finish, helping you to pick out a vessel that best suits your needs. So how did George find this aspect of our service?
"It was very straightforward. They gave me the price, which was set in stone - there was no messing around or bartering like you can get at some places. He said 'George, this is the price.' I said 'Alright, Jon, I like it, no problem.' He gave me a trade-in on the boat, which was very fair, and I was happy to do the deal."
"The boat arrived when he said it would arrive, he put it all together for me, checked it all out, and there were no hiccups along the way - just as he said it would be, pure black and white. It was a very good experience (dealing with Hunts Marine), and the word going around is that 'they know how to put a boat together'."
What do you largely use your boat for?
The Quintrex 610 Cruiseabout is a versatile vessel, and can be used for all manner of ocean-going adventures. There's one thing that George uses his boat for above else, though...
"Fishing! 99 per cent of the time I'll be fishing off my boat, but it can be used for water skiing, taking people on the tubes and can even be used as a party pontoon. That's because you can fit so many people on it so comfortably, but we just love to head out to our fishing spot."

"We cook and eat our catch right there on the boat. It's great for just sitting around and relaxing - there's a table in the bow where you can eat your dinner and enjoy a cup of coffee, so it's just great for getting away from it all."
Perhaps George's most telling statement of his experience with his Quintrex 610 Cruiseabout is that he says if he were offered the opportunity of being given another boat - even a $100,000 vessel - he'd stick with this one.
